CRISIS Y FINANZAS SUSTENTABLES: EL PAPEL DE LA DEUDA Y EL APALANCAMIENTO

Resumen

Este artículo integra una serie de teorías relacionadas con el papel de la deuda y del apalancamiento en el desarrollo de las crisis financieras. Además, retoma la exploración del concepto de la sustentabilidad del sistema financiero. De esta manera, se concluye con la obtención de una perspectiva holística acerca del papel de la deuda y el apalancamiento en el desarrollo de las crisis, incorporando diferentes puntos de vista, vinculándolos con el concepto de la sustentabilidad, de tal forma que contribuya a desarrollar criterios que posteriormente se puedan traducir en medidas para lograr la estabilidad del sistema financiero.

Abstract

This article integrates a series of theories related to the role of debt and leverage in the development of financial crises. In addition, it retakes the exploration of the concept of the financial system’s sustainability. In this way, it concludes with a holistic perspective on the role of debt and leverage in the development of crises, incorporating different points of view and linking them with the concept of sustainability, in a way that contributes to develop criteria that can later be translated into measures to achieve the stability of the financial system.
